Release Date: October 15, 2021.
Into the Abstract is an album full of contrast, an impressionistic synth wave that explores a new universe of music and a breathtaking experience.
Droid Bishop is an Australian artist known for his work in the synth-wave genre. Last Friday, October 15th, he released his 5th album, Into the abstract, where he explores new colors, sounds, and textures.
The whole album is a journey, exploring different sensations and sounds. The first track, Prelude, foreshadows what is coming. A perfect start to the journey, taking us to the past while laying the foundations of an 80s and 90s mood. As the album plays, we explore different states of mind. In the song Dancing in the Dark, Bishop brings up the vision of a 90s couple. Comparatively, the song Automation, is a futuristic and techno song. Silver Screen talks about the obsession of a person with a silver screen or magazine, a mood Bishop breaks when he brings us Breakdown, a track full of frames of mind and craziness. Love across time is reminiscent of The Jackson 5 and Stevie Wonder combined with the synth-wave sound. Finally, Into the Abstract is the end of the journey, where Bishop recalls the melody from Prelude and develops it, perfectly closing the album and ending with a dreamy mood. A new tomorrow.
If you like music from the 80s and 90s with a touch of synth, or if you want to explore new music, this album is perfect for you.
Recommended songs: Prelude, Dancing in the Dark, Silver Screen, and Into the Abstract.
