Breathing

Petter CottonTale, Jamila Woods, Rachel Robinson " Breather My Name"

Have you ever noticed the moment it felt like you could breathe again? The pain subsides from the wound they left when they chose someone else, and the weight of their presence suddenly lifts from your chest with an inhale for what feels like the first time. You awaken in that moment in time, surrounded by those that matter. The music in the background, the lights are low. Suddenly you want to dance, stretching the muscles in your face needed to smile that have atrophied in their absence. You hear the choirs of all those who have ever been hurt echoing around you, pushing you forward. Finally, you’re ready.
